Overview
Within the chapters of this book are outlined some of the most profound challenges many of us have faced as children and adolescents and how those past struggles can still surface today as we live through our adult lives. The goal of this book is to help you identify what is holding you back from being your true God-given authentic self. This book is a tool to help you find your true identity and purpose and set you up for success in your divine future.

Journal
At the end of each chapter, there is a section called "Call to Action," where you can journal your thoughts from each chapter. Journaling helps us identify where we are, our thoughts, struggles, desires, and dreams and unloads the mind to think clearer. Journaling encourages self-confidence and boosts emotional intelligence while helping us achieve goals, inspires creativity, increases memory, and enhances critical thinking skills. Journaling allows you to see your progress and continued successes.
Discover Your Purpose and Identity
We often lose our identity and value when we experience trauma and pain. Sit Down and Shut Up helps you discover who God created you to be in His amazing love. Just imagine He created a plan for your life before you were born. Our job and responsibility is to seek the Lord and ask the following questions: What is YOUR plan for MY life, what does that look like, and how do you want me to steward what you show me?

"Could not have imagined the impact this book was going to have on my life, into reading it a second time around and do not believe it is possible to wear it out. The author from the time of her childhood growing up in a dysfunctional family, had an inquisitive mind, that would irritate her mom, who would tell her to, "sit down and shut up." Leads us into the realization that no matter how difficult the path, each experience awakens within us valuable insights that brings us ever closer to the plan that God has for our life, quoting Psalm 139:13. She has an enlightening firm foundation in the Word of God, the Bible, and let's us know in no uncertain terms, that life and death is in the power of the tongue! Using an analogy of watching her grandma sift flour as a child, to get rid of the lumps, Debra, vigorously draws to our attention the need to sift through the words that we speak.
